I’m going to start posting bi-weekly updates on my progress with EventSync 2.0. New in EventSync 2 will be a new image view that will allow users to look at the pictures/flyers associated with their Facebook events. Other features will be incorporated into this view that will be detailed in later blog posts.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still working on EventSync. Its hard to juggle a full time job and write cocoa applications on the side. Its even harder to not be seduced by developing applications for the iPhone. The next release of EventSync is most likely going to be a 2.0 release. Its going to be everything that EventSync 1.0 should have been and more. I guess you can call it EventSync take 2.
I’m planning on making this release a Leopard only release so that I can take full advantage of all of the great technologies included with the OS. I can’t wait to finish it and release it to the public. This time I’m going to do it right and send it out a press release through prmac. I will be sure to keep everyone more up to date with my progress. In the meantime be sure to add me on twitter!! http://www.twitter.com/jamesfrye82

This is my first post from my iPhone using the Wordpress native app. I think that it’s pretty cool. The amount of apps in the app store is already at 800+ and the iPhone devs are only getting started. I can’t get over the fact that I can control my apple tv, blog and play games all from the same device. I can’t wait to see what killer app comes out next. Until then I will be hard at work on EventSync 2.0! Be sure to follow me on Twitter: http://www.Twitter.com/jamesfrye82

Here is a screenshot of version 1.0.2 of EventSync. This update is going to contain some minor tweaks and you will now be able to select which events are synced with iCal. This may be the last release that will be Tiger compatible. The next release will most likely be the 2.0 release with completely redesigned UI. I am really looking forward to leveraging some of the new technologies introduced with Leopard. If you visit the blog make sure that you leave a comment. All feature requests certainly are welcome. If you like my app make sure that you become a fan of it on Facebook!!!

Happy new year everyone!! 2007 was a great year and I hope that 2008 will be even better. I think the highlight of my year would have to be the time that I spent a WWDC. Being around so many bright individuals definitely inspired me. I hope to be back this year to meet up with everyone again!!! In 2008 I hope to get a couple of more applications out. EventSync is doing fairly well right now and I hope to increase the user base significantly in the next couple of months. Be sure to keep the feature requests coming. I hope to incorporate some of the requested features soon. Until then be sure to spread the word about EventSync!P.S. I hope that you all are ready for the announcements at macworld!

I had to remove the FB from FB Events for obvious reasons. It is now called EventSync. You will have to download the new binary manually because the Sparkle Framwork cannot find the binary when it relaunches. I apologize for any convenience that this causes.

I can’t believe that I have already surpassed 100 downloads of FB Events in the first two days of availabitlity. I’m glad that my work is paying off. I hope that you tell all of your mac using facebook friends about FB Events. Make sure that you head over to digg, del.icio.us, and iusethis to support my app. I should be releasing version 1.0.1 this week so be on the lookout. Thanks to Lindy for the feedback!!
